Work environment

The Technical Services of institutions in the Quebec region at the Correctional Service of Canada is a stimulating and dynamic environment and his mission is to ensure the operation, compliance and sustainability of the prison complex. The facilities we manage are diverse such as buildings and structures, electrical and mechanical systems, infrastructures, generators, oil tanks, thermal power stations, water treatment and purification plants to name only those.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:

Possession of a valid Journeyperson Plumber Certification (Provincial or Interprovincial)

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:

Possession of a valid Provincial or Interprovincial Gas Fitting Certificate in the province of employment

Willingness and ability to travel to various locations
Willingness to work within correctional facilities.
Willingness to work with and/or instruct inmates where applicable
Willingness to work overtime, holidays, shiftwork for a 24/7 institutional establishment.
Willingness to perform duties at any of the locations within the cluster for which this position serves
Requirement to comply with applicable Occupational Health and Safety codes and regulations.

Conditions of employment

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Reliability and Security: Reliability status.
Valid driver’s license
Requirement to lift and carry items weighing up to 23 kg utilizing basic safe lifting techniques
Candidate must maintain valid occupational certification associated with the specific trade
