Work environment

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is a key player in public safety. We are responsible for the supervision and reintegration of offenders serving sentences of two years or more. On a typical day, we manage approximately 15,000 offenders placed within our 43 institutions and more than 8,500 offenders under supervision in the community.

We are building a strong, vibrant, and diverse team of professionals. CSC has been widely recognized as an international leader in correctional justice. We offer a variety of work locations with challenges and impacts like no other organization in Canada.

CSC supports professional growth. We offer career development opportunities and we believe in continuous learning throughout your career.

Intent of the process

CSC will review applications received weekly and contact applicants selected for further assessment based on the needs of the region. It is therefore important that you indicate all the locations where you want to work.

The immediate needs are located in Agassiz (Kent Institution and Mountain Institution) and in Abbotsford (Frazer Valley Institution and in Regional Treatment Center - psychiatric hospital).
