About the department and the position:
PSPC provides property and facility management services to support the operation of office, warehouse and residential space used by federal departments and agencies in Iqaluit. This position will support our housing group as you learn how we deliver services to our clients, take care of our houses, budgets, contracts and work together as a team. This position will give you a chance to learn and develop so that you will be better prepared to apply on a higher level job on our team. PSPC works hard to create a welcoming, respectful and inclusive workplace and this position is at the forefront to continue that work.
What you need for this job:
You will be working closely with a great team of people located in Iqaluit as well as, virtually with other colleagues and business lines located in AB, SK and MB. Our work can be unstructured and unique at times as we respond to a variety of situations that can impact our office, warehouse and residential properties. Communication, collaboration and coordination are keys to delivering services to our clients. You will need to use discretion, tact and a positive outlook to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders. If you enjoy being part of team that depends on each other to give their best efforts to provide high quality services to our internal and external clients then you will enjoy working with us.
A qualified pool of candidates will be established from this process to staff identical or similar positions within Public Services and Procurement Canada in Iqaluit, NU, with various tenures (Indeterminate, Acting, Term, Deployment, Assignment, Secondment).
