Duties

Working as part of the Visitor Experience team, you will provide front line services to visitors. You will help promote special events and programs and assist in duties at visitor services facilities and day-use areas. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting and orienting visitors; delivering reception, orientation, visitor safety, compliance, and interpretive messages. Collecting camping or entry fees and performing other miscellaneous duties.
- Providing small custodial duties. Responding to telephone inquiries.
- Performing end of day procedures with regards to revenue collection and deposit.
- Roving and promoting programs, events, and facilities.
- Delivering key messages (including prevention and safety messages) about the site in a positive way.

Intent of the process

Anticipatory/Seasonal/Term 0.34 FTE or 0.50 FTE

Part-time work can be considered.

This process is intended to fill existing vacancy(ies) and may be used to fill anticipated seasonal vacancy(ies) with the same work description.

This process is an inventory. We will be extracting the first round of applications for the 2024 operational season on January 14, 2024. If you want to work this upcoming season apply by this date or you may only be considered should we have staff shortages later in the season.

Reliability Status security clearance - A security status screening is undertaken by Parks Canada for candidates who are successful in the competition.
