The Department of National Defence (DND) is one of the largest federal government employers, offering over 70 types of civilian career opportunities. The intent of this process is to fill two (2) French essential positions.
This process may also be used to fill current and future vacancies in various locations with various employment tenures, language profiles, security requirements, and conditions of employment.

EDUCATION
For level HP-03
EDU1.Diploma of Vocational Studies in Stationary Engine Mechanics with a valid Power Engineer certificate as 4th (fourth) Class Stationary Engineer.
EDUCATION
For level HP-04
EDU1. Diploma of Vocational Studies in Stationary Engine Mechanics with a valid Power Engineer certificate as 2nd (second) Class Stationary Engineer.
EDU2. Possess a class B ticket in refrigeration equipment (Essential for St-Jean only).
EXPERIENCE
EX1. Experience in the functioning and control of high-pressure and low-pressure steam installation.

ASSET EDUCATION
AEDU1. Complementary certification/professional training related to the position.

AEDU3. Possess a valid certificate as 1st (first) Class Stationary Engineer.
AEDU4. Possess a valid certificate as 3rd (third) Class Stationary Engineer.
AEDU5. Possess a valid Class A or B refrigeration equipment certificate.
ASSET EXPERIENCE
For the HP-04 only:
AEX1. Experience or training in one or more of the following areas: welding, electricity, instrumentation and control, plumbing, piping or mechanical maintenance.

Operational requirements
Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.
Must be willing and able to work on rotating shifts of 12 hours, on a 24/7 basis.
Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the Departmental driver’s license, DND 404.
