As per the TBS common hybrid work model for the Federal Public Service, there is an in-person requirement of at least 2 days per week in the office.

EDUCATION:
▶ Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering, geological engineering, naval architecture or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
▶ Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Alberta with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position (some positions may require eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada without regard for the field of specialization).

▶ A post-graduate degree (MSc, PhD) in any engineering discipline or related.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
▶Experience designing or maintaining facilities in support of research or environmental containment for any of the following:
↪Biological Research
↪Pharmaceutical Production
↪Chemical Research or Production
↪Explosive Environments
↪Clean Room
▶Experience using electronic test and measurement instruments in support of project or building commissioning (patient care, hospitals, research, etc.).
▶Experience acquiring electronic data.
▶Experience designing, installing, and commissioning of any of the following:
↪HVAC systems for buildings or specialized environments.
↪Industrial exhaust systems.
↪Electrical distribution systems for facilities that include emergency power generation, automatic transfer switches, and uninterruptible power supplies.
↪Security, access control, and video monitoring systems for facilities ranked as Secure.
↪Unique electro-mechanical machinery that may include structural frames, linear & rolling bearings, power transmission, pneumatic and hydraulic controls & actuators, and electronic controls.
