NRCan has transitioned to a hybrid work environment which offers employees the opportunity to telework and work from the designated work location, subject to operational requirements. This position will require an in-office presence for a minimum of two (2) days a week.
The intent of this selection process is to staff a full-time term position for two years.

Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in mining, physics, geology, chemistry or some other science relevant to the position.
Experience:
• Experience in leading projects to solve scientific challenges
• Experience in coordinating and monitoring progress toward project milestones
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting scientific data
• Experience in conducting computational fluid dynamic modelling behavior of hydrogen in confined areas with FLACS software
English essential
Information on language requirements
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Ansys Fluent, PHOENICS and Comsol
• Knowledge on hydrogen behavioral characteristics and safety measures
Abilities & Competencies:
• Ability to communicate effectively orally
