The intent of this process is to staff two (2) permanent position in Spruce Grove, Alberta.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. permanent or temporary) within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

EDUCATION
• Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.1

EXPERIENCE
• Experience providing service to internal or external clients / general public, via telephone or in person.
• Experience in the provision of administrative support services including three of the following: data entry, preparing correspondence, ordering office supplies, filing, or processing mail.
• Experience in using computer applications including two of the following: databases, email, spreadsheets or word processing.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
• Successful completion of secondary school education.
EXPERIENCE
• Training and/or experience in providing financial support services such as the collection and recording of monies received, handling petty cash funds, verifying supplier invoices, preparing invoices.
• Experience working in a law enforcement and/or legal environment.
• Experience liaising with court representatives or officials, or preparing court disclosure packages and bail hearing packages.
• Experience in maintaining a law enforcement database such as: Police Reporting Occurrence System (PROS) or Canadian Police Information (CPIC).
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willing and able to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, if required.
• Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation (including owned or leased government transport, commercial and light aircraft and up to and including remote locations).
• Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s licence or have personal mobility to the degree normally associated with a driver's licence.
