As per the TBS common hybrid work model for the Federal Public Service, there is an in-person requirement of at least 2 days per week in the office.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill two (2) English Essential indeterminate positions on a hybrid basis in Halifax, Nova Scotia and one (1) English Essential indeterminate position on a hybrid basis in Equimalt, BC.

National Defence has adopted a hybrid workforce model, meaning a combination of onsite work and telework.

A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process, and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, operational requirements, and conditions of employment at the Department of National Defence.

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE: ⤵

EX1. Experience developing, reviewing, and analyzing strategic plans, business plans or business risk.
EX2. Experience providing advice and support to stakeholders, clients, or senior management* on strategic planning and business planning.
EX3. Experience developing models, templates, processes, or procedures related to strategic planning or business planning.
EX4. Experience in researching and developing written documentation: policies and procedures, reports, briefing notes or presentations.
EX5. Experience presenting reports, presentations, or briefing notes to senior management*.

*Senior management is defined as Director Level and above.

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in business administration, commerce, or in other specialization relevant to the duties of the position to be staffed.
