NRCan has transitioned to a hybrid work environment which offers employees the opportunity to telework and work from the designated work location, subject to operational requirements. This position will require an in-office presence for a minimum of two (2) days a week.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience in a field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

Experience
• A minimum of three years experience at laboratory and pilot operations in the area of membrane separations.
• A minimum of three years experience at system design and assembly in the area of membrane separations.
• A minimum of three years experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and replacing process equipment including pumps, chillers, generators, and power supplies.
• Experience in procuring laboratory instruments, as well as preparing and organizing inventories
• Experience in writing technical reports and preparing System Operating Procedures (SOP)

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in using database, statistical and spreadsheet software packages for the purpose of analyzing and reporting results.
• Experience of working with CAD software, specifically Fusion 360 to design different types of membrane modules.
• Must hold a verified quality control certificate
