Casual workers are hired for specified periods that may not exceed 90 working days in one calendar year, in a department or in an agency to which the Public Service Commission (PSC) has exclusive authority to make appointments. The purpose of this inventory is to staff casual positions in various sectors of the department and various group and level. Casual employment is a temporary employment of 90 working days or less, in a calendar year, to meet needs arising from such contingencies as vacations, sick and training leaves, to conduct special projects that are anticipated but dependent of the availability of funds, etc.

Experience in providing administrative or operational support services*.
*Administrative support services may include the performance of tasks such as managing the daily agenda of manager, planning or coordinating meetings, preparing documents or reviewing for accuracy, coordinating incoming and outgoing correspondence, filing, writing minutes of meetings, preparing spreadsheets and collating data, etc.
Operational support services may include the performance of tasks such as preparing forms, data entry, preparing and reviewing reports or other documents, filing, and drafting correspondence in operational environments such as registrar service, finance, administration, security, human resources, case management, or other areas.
• Experience with the contracting process (statement of work and the overall process).
• Experience in project management.
• Experience providing advices to senior manager, especially about event planning.
