The intent of this process is to staff one (1) permanent position in Edmonton or Calgary, AB.
A qualified pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term or acting basis. The pool could be used to staff assignments, secondments, deployments, or casual opportunities.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in nursing, nursing service administration, nursing education or some other specialty relevant to the position.
Eligibility for registration as a registered nurse in a province or territory of Canada.
Recent and significant experience* in general clinical nursing or public health nursing.
* Recent and significant experience refers to the performance of duties on a continuous basis over a period of approximately 3 years within the last 5 years.
Knowledge of the theories and principals related to Disability Case Management.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Ability to effectively manage conflict.
Ability to assess complex medical cases and provide recommendations.
Ability to effectively manage heavy workloads, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively lead a team.

Experience in providing nursing services in one of the following areas: occupational health, disability case management or rehabilitative services.
Recent and significant experience* in supervising employees, including monitoring performance and assigning work.
* Recent and significant experience refers to the performance of duties on a continuous basis over a period of approximately 3 years within the last 5 years.
Experience in disability case management.
Experience in developing policies, guidelines, procedures or protocols.
Willingness and able to work overtime when required.
Willingness and ability to travel using various modes of transportation (including owned or leased government transport, commercial and light aircraft and up to and including remote locations).
