Given the breadth of the research undertaken at the Research and Development Centre (RDC), the incumbent will provide general and technical support at an Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada research centre, including all or part of the following duties:
• Contributing to the development of analytical methods and evaluation techniques.
• Contributing to sample collection and data analysis.
• Providing support for research activities in the laboratory or in the field as part of research programs.
• Helping maintain the research equipment.
The Quebec City Research and Development Centre focuses its research on the management and conservation of soil-water-air resources in agriculture, plant breeding, precision agriculture and the management of field and forage crops, in a context of sustainable agriculture. Research activities are carried out in the laboratory, on experimental plots on a research farm and at associated farm businesses.
