Collect, process and analyze collected samples. Perform statistical analyses, summarize collected data in figures and tables, write and defend a thesis and present results in local, national and or international meetings.
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is planning to hire graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D) to work on a funded project aiming to assess how different soil agricultural practices impact greenhouse gas emissions and carbon sequestration. The selected candidates will work in the field and in the laboratory in collaboration with research assistants, summer students, and scientists.

Education:
Currently enrolled or will be enrolled by the date of appointment in a master's or a doctorate program in a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in agriculture, environmental science or any other relevant area.
Note: Must be currently recognized as having full-time student status in the academic institution in which you are presently enrolled, pending approval of acceptance or in the process of submitting your application. Proof of enrollment will be required prior to start date and the student must be returning to full-time studies for your next academic term.
Students should meet the eligibility requirements to enroll at the University of Dalhousie or Department of Soil Science at the University of Manitoba or at Laval University.
Experience*:
Experience* in performing field work and laboratory analyzes.
Experience* to run statistical analyses.
Experience* in presenting research results to different audiences.
*In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.
