The intent of this selection process is to create a pool of fully or partially qualified candidates to be used to staff these or similar or lower level positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada in Newfoundland and Labrador. This process may be used to staff various tenures, including indeterminate, specified period, deployment, assignment, secondment and acting.

Education
Successful completion of a minimum 2 year program from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the duties of the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
Experience in developing (preparing or reviewing) policy documents, operating procedures or plans, guidelines, or briefing material and making recommendations to supervisors or managers.
Experience in the application and interpretation of policies, procedures, or legislation in the delivery of programs.
Experience in establishing working relationships with clients, partners and/or stakeholders at various levels (such as; internal, federal, provincial or international levels)
Education
Successful completion of the Fishery Officer Career Progression Program (FOCPP).
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position.
Experience
Experience in the preparation of legal documents such as but not limited to Orders, affidavits, court documents.
Experience providing analysis and advice on matters pertaining to programs delivered by Fisheries and Oceans Canada
Experience supervising the work of others
Experience in financial management.
Experience in major case management processes and procedures.
Experience in analyzing, interpreting and the presentation of program data i.e. NETS FEATS DVS, detachment profiles, intelligence information.
Experience providing strategic and analytical input, and active participation in program procurement and contracting initiatives.
