The intent of this process is to staff a position on a indeterminate basis in Brooks, Alberta, and create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment) within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

EDUCATION
• Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.*
*Proof of education will be required prior to appointment.
EXPERIENCE
• Experience in using computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, or databases.
• Experience maintaining an electronic or hard copy filing system in an office environment.
• Experience in the provision of administrative support services including three of the following: data entry, preparing correspondence and/or reports, ordering office supplies, filing, or processing mail.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
• Experience in maintaining a law enforcement database such as: Police Reporting Occurrence System (PROS), Canadian Police Information (CPIC) and Public Agency Web Services (PAIN).
• Experience providing financial support services, such as: reconciling and depositing feeds received, reconciling invoices, preparing invoices, etc.
• Experience in receiving, tagging, adding and storing exhibits while ensuring proper procedures are followed.
• Experience in ensuring appropriate inventory of the exhibit supplies or equipment necessary to store exhibits/evidence as per police investigations.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willingness and ability to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
• Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required.
• Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status (ERS) security clearance.
