Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate position.

A pool of (fully or partially qualified) candidates may be established through this process to staff with identical or similar positions within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures, various language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential, or Bilingual), linguistic requirements (imperative and/or non-imperative) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements (Reliability status or Secret clearance), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
EX1. Experience providing shipping and receiving services, including material packaging and completing documentation, in support of a scientific research facility or other institution with a large variety of chemicals and laboratory equipment.
EX2. Experience processing incoming and outgoing mail, including courier services.
EX3. Experience issuing, tracking and disposing of assets using a computer based asset management system.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
AEX1. Experience in fleet management, operations and practices.
AEX2. Experience using Microsoft Office.
AEX3. Experience using Systems Applications Products (SAP).

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
Successfully pass and maintain a valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate (TDG) in ground and air.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Able and willing to lift heavy items up to 25kg
