Who are we and what do we do?
NCR Stores distribute operational equipment to support RCMP police operations in NCR on a daily basis. NCR Stores also provide logistical support for special and major events within the NCR, and operate a centralized store which carries a range of technical, operational and administrative supplies.
What will you be doing?
NCR Stores are responsible for:
-distributing and tracking operational equipment issued to members on a daily basis (police vehicles, portable radios, restricted and non-restricted weapons, investigative tools, etc.);
-researching and procuring operational equipment from external suppliers for Protective Operations (with the exception of uniform clothing and kit);
-operating the RCMP Centralized Store and procuring a broad range of operational, technical and administrative supplies to maintain it;
-providing direct support to RCMP police operations within the NCR during special and major events, visits and training courses. This includes the preparation and distribution of equipment and the coordination of various services

We can be deployed nationwide to support operations for major events.
The intent of the selection process is to staff five (5) term positions. Three (3) Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB positions and two (2) English essential positions with Enhanced Reliability Status with RCMP Top Secret security clearance. The first position is located at 1426 St-Joseph Blvd, Orléans, ON and the second position is located at 1200 Vanier Pkwy, Ottawa, ON. Please note that there will not be any remote work for these positions.
This selection process could also be used to staff similar positions of varying tenures, of varying bilingual imperative linguistic profiles within the RCMP, NCR.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Your résumé.
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
Experience in procurement (acquiring quotes, processing orders & receiving goods)
Experience providing customer service in a warehouse setting
Experience in using computer software applications, such as but not limited to, MS Word, MS Excel and/or MS Outlook
Experience with inventory control : maintaining stock of supplies and equipment
Willingness and ability to work variable 10 hour shifts (days, evenings, nights and weekends).
Willing and able to work overtime, as needed, sometimes on short notice
Willingness and ability to travel outside of the National Capital Region

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Must be willing to work with police intervention tools such as, but not limited to : firearms, tasers and/or pepper spray
