• Participates in the planning, organizing and control of census test field operations for an assigned area
• Trains and supervises a team of supervisors, and coordinates their activities and those of their employees
• Participates in the monitoring, analysis and evaluation of field operations by reviewing activity reports
• Authorizes employees’ weekly payment, expenses and allowances
• Monitors performance and productivity of staff and resolves collection, staff and pay issues
• Promotes respondent participation in the census test and participates in the implementation of regional communication strategies
• Responds to inquiries coming from the public
• Participates in the census test evaluation process

What is a Census Test?
Between censuses, Statistics Canada takes steps to ensure that each census produces relevant information that Canadians can use to make informed decisions. The 2024 Census Test is conducted to evaluate the census questionnaire (including new and modified content) and collection procedures and tools to prepare for the 2026 Census of Population. To do so, we hire new employees to help assess these new procedures, systems, and tools.
Our ideal candidate is:

What is the work environment?
Staff for this position will be working fully remotely from home.
The immediate need is to staff one AS-03 position.
The pool of qualified candidates established from this process may be used to staff similar positions for the 2024 Census Test with various linguistic profiles, tenures and/or security clearances.

Education:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
