Intent of the process

Our intent is to staff positions within the National Capital Region, however, various locations may also be considered in anticipation of future needs.

This advertised process is 𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 and a pool of partially qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions at PSPC with various tenures (term 𝐎𝐑 indeterminate), language requirements (English essential, French essential, English 𝐎𝐑 French essential, bilingual imperative: BBB/BBB and CBC/CBC and/𝐎𝐑 security clearance requirements (reliability 𝐎𝐑 secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

*Partially qualified simply means that the candidates will be deemed qualified except for the linguistic and security profiles which will be evaluated at a later date should the candidate be considered for an appointment.

💼EXPERIENCES

-Significant* experience in providing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) advice to management or employees

-Significant* experience in conducting workplace OHS inspections, investigations or risk assessments

-Experience in the elaboration or implementation of strategies, policies, directives or procedures related to OHS

*Significant experience will be evaluated in regard to the complexity and the diversity of the work handled as well as the level of autonomy demonstrated.

The written communication will be assessed with the screening questions.

📌 The first step of assessment will be the Second Language Evaluation for writing and reading comprehension. If you do not have valid results, the Unsupervised test of written expression for level B or C and the Unsupervised test of reading comprehension for level B or C will be used.

A variety of assessment tools may be used in the assessment of candidates. All information collected throughout the selection process from the submission of the application until the end of the process could be used to assess the candidates.

Any assessment method that is considered appropriate to determine whether a person meets the essential qualifications may be used in no specific order, such as but not limited to, take-home test, interviews, and reference checks.
