Duties

Plans and upholds the District Commander’s calendar of events while maintaining a diary date system;
Plans and coordinates internal and external meetings and conferences;
Conducts research, prepares reports and prepares general correspondence on behalf of the District Commander;
Prepares travel authorizations and travel claims for the District Commander;
Maintains District Commander’s and management’s shift schedules;
Acts as communication liaison for the District Commander.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis., (including acting appointments and deployments).

A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar temporary, and/or permanent positions.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives

Degree equivalency

- Experience organizing and coordinating administrative arrangements and schedules for middle and/or senior management.
- Experience compiling information and preparing various correspondence and reports for middle and/or senior management.
- Experience in applying policies, procedures and guidelines applicable to finance and administration (i.e. hospitality, travel, security classifications, financial coding structure).
- Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc…)

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience using a human resources information management system.
