Intent of the process

Intent to fill several indeterminate and term positions in Chief Finances, Results and Delivery Officer office (CFRDO) in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements (English Essential or Bilingual Imperative), various security requirements, various conditions of employment as well as various tenures (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) within Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and Indigenous Services Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
• Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in the provision of client services.
• Experience handling financial transactions or with a financial system.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
(Not essential, but preference may be given to candidates who posses asset qualifications)

EDUCATION (ASSET):
• Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program, from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce, or economics
• Actively pursuing and enrolled in the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE (ASSET):
• Recent* and significant** in using SAP or a similar financial system
• Experience with Grants and Contributions
• Experience with Travel Claims
• Experience with Accounts Payable
• Experience with Accounts Receivable
• Experience with Journal Vouchers/Journal Entries
• Experience in federal government accounting processes
• Experience working effectively with First Nations, Inuit and or Métis

*Recent experience is defined as within the last two years.
** Significant experience is defined as experience that would normally be acquired over the period of at least one year.
