Assessment accommodation

Intent of the process

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements (English Essential or Bilingual Imperative), various security requirements, various conditions of employment as well as various tenures (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) within Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and Indigenous Services Canada.

EDUCATION:
• Successful completion of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*.

* Experience can be gained through work, school, cultural and life experiences, community/volunteer work

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
• Experience managing multiple tasks and priorities within tight deadlines and working under pressure.
• Experience using word processing, and spreadsheet and database software.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION (ASSET):
• Two years of post-secondary education or acceptable combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE (ASSET):
• Experience providing administrative support directly to a manager (organizing schedules, meetings, follow-up, and correspondence.
• Experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
• Experience in supervising teams of 2-10 employees.
• Experience in system/procedure development.
• Experience in electronic records management system such as but not limited to GCDocs.
• Experience with scheduling employees (vacation requests, unexpected leaves, shifts, etc. – screening.
• Experience working with First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis.
