Intent of the process

The intent of the selection process is to create an inventory of qualified candidates at the CR-04 (CK-04) level.

The inventory of qualified candidates will be use to staff various positions of varying tenures, including term and indeterminate appointments, of the English Essential linguistic profile and varying security levels within the RCMP in the National Capital Region.

Due to the nature of the work, these positions require working five (5) days a week in office.

Random selection may be used at any time during the process to identify which applicants from the inventory will be assessed.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives

Degree equivalency

Experience in providing quality customer service to clients or public by telephone, in person and/or in writing

Experience using spreadsheet and word processing software

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience working in a law enforcement environment

Conditions of employment

Various RCMP Security Clearance depending on the position to be staffed:
- Enhanced Reliability Status
- ERS with Secret
- ERS with Top Secret

Candidates selected for appointment will have to obtain and maintain an RCMP Security Clearance. This process requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of criminal activities, credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.
