Intent of the process

The intent is to staff two (2) positions on an indeterminate basis at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC)/Indigenous Services Canada (ISC).

1 position: Human Resources & Administration Services Facilitator
1 position: Finance & Contracting Services Facilitator

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may also be established to staff similar or identical positions at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various linguistic profiles as well as tenures (term or indeterminate), location across Canada and/or with various security requirements (reliability or secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

NOTE:

The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- satisfactory results on the test approved by the Public Service Commission as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in the interpretation and application of directives and policies.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing administrative documentation related to financial or human resources activities.
• Experience in providing administrative support services.
• Experience in providing guidance to staff or management* on the procedures related to financial or human resources.

*Management is defined as director position, equivalent or higher.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working in a Business Management Unit.
• Experience supporting a Minister’s office.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Willing and able to work overtime on short notice

Various language requirements
The positions to staff are Bilingual BBB/BBB. However, the pool could be used to staff positions with various language requirements*: Bilingual CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC.

*In exceptional circumstances, Bilingual non-imperative appointments (with various levels) may be approved.
