Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of English Essential and an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

Degree equivalency

Certification in Equestrian Canada Competition Coach or Competition Coach Specialist or equivalent

-Experience in the implementation of an advanced dressage training program.
-Experience training horses from the initial to advanced training levels on a daily basis with 5-8 horses trained per day.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Certification in Equestrian Canada Competition Coach or Competition Coach Specialist or equivalent.

Conditions of employment

-RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status (ERS).
-Willingness and ability to accept workplace conditions and the physical effort required to perform duties such as:
-Exposure to dirt/dust/odours, excessive noise and disagreeable weather conditions.
-Must be capable of working in an environment that contains a large amount of dust, odours and animals.
-Must be capable of standing, bending and walking to train horses for long periods of time.

HOW TO APPLY:

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
