🎓 EDUCATION

✔ Graduation with a Master’s degree in Nursing from a recognized post-secondary institution*
OR
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution* in a Nurse Practitioner Program with successful completion of approved training in Primary Care, All Ages specialization or some other specialty relevant to the position.
*Recognized post-secondary institution: Public or private institution that has been given authority to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of a provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality
assurance mechanism. For greater certainty, also included are institutions authorized to grant specific academic credentials for specific academic programs.

✔ Reliability Status Security Clearance
✔ Current valid registration as a Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) and a member in good standing without conditions on license in at least one of the following provinces: Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Quebec, and willingness to seek registration in any of the remaining provinces mentioned.
✔ Medical Clearance:
i) PRE-PLACEMENT: Category 1 health evaluation ii) PERIODIC: Category 3 health evaluation according to the schedule outlined in the Occupational Health Evaluation Standard for “First Nations and Inuit Health Branch Nurses Assigned to Isolated Posts in Northern First Nations Communities”
ii) Agree to undertake a Category 3 pre-placement periodic health evaluation in accordance with Appendix A of the Occupational Health Evaluation Standard Schedule (https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=12561§ion=HTML)

✔ Willingness and ability to travel to remote communities across Canada for a minimum of at least 50% of the work
