Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates for future needs. The pool may be used to staff similar positions on a permanent (indeterminate) or temporary basis (specified period).

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

Note 1:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience in researching and analyzing data for quality assurance, management review, or statistics.
Experience in using Microsoft Excel to analyze data and to create records, reports, or statistics for management review.
Experience in managing or coordinating projects.
Experience in making recommendations to management on business process improvements.

Successful completion of a post-secondary program from a recognized post-secondary education institution.

Degree equivalency

Experience working in a transportation environment or industry.
Experience in a quality assurance or quality control program such as: reviewing reports resulting in advice for business process improvement or performing a comparison between standard operating procedures and their implementation to identify any gaps or non-conformities.
Experience in preparing and delivering presentations.
Experience in conducting analysis and synthesizing performance data related to inspection and oversight activities.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT :
Ability and willingness to work overtime, as required.

Conditions of employment

Reliability status security clearance.
Ability and willingness to travel within Canada using all modes of transportation, as required.

As part of this selection process you must provide proof of your education credentials. You will be advised to provide the documents later in the process. If you were educated outside of Canada, you must have your certificates and/or diplomas assessed against Canadian education standards. This will enable you to provide proof of Canadian equivalency when applying for a job in the public service.
