The intent of this selection process is to staff two permanent full-time positions.
A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff with identical or similar positions within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures, various language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential, or Bilingual), linguistic requirements (imperative and/or non-imperative) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements (Reliability status or Secret clearance), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in public administration, business administration, commerce or another discipline relevant to the position.

Experience:
AS-04 Stream
• Experience in participating actively in internal audits, external audits, reviews, advisories or similar type of work/projects.
• Experience in conducting interviews with clients.
• Experience in analysing and evaluating information to formulate suitable conclusions, options and recommendations.
• Experience in presenting findings and recommendations to management.
AS-05 Stream
• Recent experience* in planning, conducting and reporting on internal audits, external audits, reviews, advisories or similar type of work/projects
• Recent experience* in developing findings, conclusions and recommendations
• Experience in conducting interviews with clients.
• Experience in presenting findings and recommendations to management.
*Recent experience is defined as within the past five (5) years
Knowledge (For both streams AS-04 and AS-05) :
• Knowledge of the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TB) Internal Audit Policy Suite;
• Knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) for Internal Audit.
Abilities (for both streams AS-04 and AS-05):
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Ability to analyse and evaluate information to formulate suitable conclusions, options and
recommendations.

- Possession of a recognized professional designation/certification: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Audit Profession al (CGAP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Risk Management Auditor (CRMA).
