Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill two (2) positions on an indeterminate (permanent) basis in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff future vacancies in various locations with various employment tenures, language profiles, security requirements and conditions of employment.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Possession of a valid Class 2 Wastewater Treatment certificate.
Possession of a valid Class 1 Water Distribution certificate.
Possession of a valid Class 1 Wastewater collection certificate.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Willing and able to undergo training for Provincial Certification Class 2 in Water Distribution and Wastewater collection AND Class 3 Wastewater Treatment.
Willing and able to obtain DND 404 driver's license.
Willing and able to work overtime and on standby, as required.
Willing and able to travel to remote sites and work on an operational airfield.
Willing and able to work in adverse conditions such as, confined spaces, heights, extreme weather, etc.
Willing and able to wear PPE.

Possession of a valid CAF WFE Tech QL5 Certification.
Possession of a valid Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification.
Possession of a valid certification in First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, Confined Space Entry.
Possession of a valid Certified Petroleum Mechanic Helper (PMH) Certification.

Experience inputting data into computer programs and Excel.
Experience interpreting maps and drawings.
Experience conducting inspections and performing maintenance of mechanical components of a petroleum, oil and lubricant facility and Oil Water Separator.
Experience operating and maintaining a public swimming pool.

Possession of a valid Class 1 Water Distribution certificate.
Possession of a valid Class 1 Wastewater collection certificate.
Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s license or provincial equivalent.
