Intent of the process

Currently we have one indeterminate vacancy at the IT-02 group and level.

A qualified pool of candidates may be established to staff this and other similar positions, at the IT-02 group and level for term, indeterminate or acting at full or part-time hours or lower level positions.

Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Education

Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Notes:
1. Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
2. Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. 3. At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum education stated above. Degree equivalency

Experience
►Experience with repairing, modifying, maintaining and programming wireless mobile voice/data communications user equipment and repair and maintenance of modern Land Mobile Radio Networks.

►Experience in IP based network, server and system monitoring.

►Experience in asset life cycle management.

►Experience with installing, configuring, administering and supporting software and hardware products and systems.

►Experience in IT Security Management.
