•Plans and conducts compliance promotions and inspections; and enforces the provisions of the Cannabis Act and its Regulations as they relate to Personal and Designated Production sites.
•Prepares reports on compliance violations by regulated parties, identifies corrective actions and conducts actions to ensure that regulated parties meet compliance requirements or to prevent non-compliance.
•Provides scientific, regulatory and technical advice and information to management and contributes to the prioritization of issues and the development of compliance and enforcement strategies using a risk management approach.
•Participates in meetings and committees to contribute to the development of guidelines and quality documents such as standard operating procedures.

The immediate need is to staff one english essential position in the Vancouver area (Vancouver or Burnaby, BC); One english essential position in the Greater Toronto area (Hamilton, Ontario, Mississauga, Ontario, Scarborough, Ontario, Toronto, Ontario, or Guelph, Ontario); and two bilingual imperative (BBB/BBB) positions in Montreal, Quebec. Applicants should be aware that a pool of qualified candidates (fully assessed or partially assessed) may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements listed in the Language Requirements section. In addition, this process may be used for various tenures (acting appointments, assignment, deployment, indeterminate, specified period, secondment), and conditions of employment within Health Canada.

Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in microbiology, chemistry, pharmacy, food science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biochemistry, biology, agriculture or some other specialty related to the position.
Note: The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.
Experience:
Approximately one year or more of law enforcement experience (e.g. police or peace officer) and/or military experience
Recent** and significant*** experience in the execution of compliance, regulatory or enforcement activities (such as conducting regulatory inspections or conducting audits) in an operational environment
**Recent means experience acquired within the last five (5) years
***Significant means the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with performing these duties full-time for a minimum of twenty-four (24) months
Experience in providing scientific or regulatory advice or guidance on regulated products to management, regulated industry or government agencies
Experience:
