We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.
When submitting your application, you must answer questions regarding the education and experience requirements (both essential and asset qualifications). you must clearly demonstrate how you meet each of these requirements by answering the online questions. it is not sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to only provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. rather you must clearly demonstrate when (month-year to month-year), where and how you acquired each qualification by giving concrete examples. information provided in your answers related to your education and experience must be supported in your resume. failure to provide the above information in the format required may result in your application being rejected from the process. the information you provide in the questionnaire must be true.
** YOU MUST COMPLETE A WRITTEN EXAM CONTAINING TWO (2) WRITTEN QUESTIONS DESIGNED TO ASSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES. FAILURE TO COMPLETE THIS EXAM WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR APPLICATION. **
- Knowledge of Elections Canada’s mandate and key responsibilities and of the Canadian federal electoral process.
- Strong digital competencies, including the ability to troubleshoot problems with web-based tools, vpn connection, wi-fi, etc.
- Ability to analyze situations and apply solutions as per instructions and/or procedures to ensure quality control and consistency.

IMPORTANT: Elections Canada offers a hybrid work model which permits telework based on operational requirements. At Elections Canada, employees are expected to work onsite at least 2 days per week (or a minimum of 40% of their working schedule), which include one fixed day onsite. Work arrangements outside of this model may be considered on an exceptional basis.
This job opportunity is with Elections Canada’s Environmental Monitoring Centre. Our team prides itself on bringing together diverse talents to form a cohesive team where everyone works hard to offer non-partisan, unbiased, excellent and useful digital communication services to all participants involved in the electoral process.
Our mandate is three-fold: make sense of the public “information ecosystem” related to Canadian federal elections; provide clear, accessible, accurate and true information about Canadian federal elections on Elections Canada’s official accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube; and respond to inquiries from the general public via those same official accounts.
Interested in participating in the Canadian electoral process and helping Canadian voters exercise their democratic right? Apply now! You'll join a dedicated team who’s proud to do something tangible and positive every day.
