A pool of qualified candidates will be established from this process. Depending on the position(s) being staffed, additional asset qualifications, operational requirements or conditions of employment may be required. Candidates in the pool may be assessed and required to meet these additional qualifications in order to be appointed.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or *employer-approved alternatives.
* The employer-approved alternatives to two years of secondary school are:
• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to two years of secondary school; or
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in providing administrative support services in an office environment services including a minimum of FIVE (5) of the following OR acceptable training** in the administrative support services field.
**Acceptable training is considered successful completion of an Office Administration / Office Education program or currently enrolled in an Office Administration / Office Education program.
• Logistical organization of conferences or videoconferences
• Preparation of contextual documents for meetings and/or taking meeting minutes
• Electronic calendar management for others
• Coordination of administrative activities
• Data entry
• Processing of correspondence
• Financial processing (invoice, purchase orders, etc.)
• Ordering office supplies
• Filing
• Processing of travel requests
Experience providing service to clients (in person, over the phone or in writing).
EDUCATION:
Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) or an Attestation of collegial studies (ACS) or a Diploma of collegial studies (DCS) in office administration.

OPERATIONNAL REQUIREMENTS:
Operational requirements may be required depending on the specific position being staffed, such as: travel, working off-site, overtime, shift work, possession of a valid driver’s license, lifting up to 23 kg, medical clearance, handling dangerous goods, etc.

LEAVE/ABSENCES DURING THE SELECTION PROCESS:
It is the responsibility of the candidate to notify the Departmental contact of any preapproved leave throughout the duration of the process in order to facilitate scheduling of evaluations. One alternate date will be possible only if requested for the following reasons:
1. Medical reasons with doctor's certificate,
2. Death in your immediate family,
3. Confirmation of pre-approved travel plans or training plans (made before the advertisement posting date),
4. Religious reasons, or
5. Participation in an assessment for another selection process.
