POSITION LOCATION / WORK ARRANGEMENT:
These positions are located in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver. Successful candidates may report to any of these offices for in-office work.
Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position requires physical presence (in-office work) from one of the following OSFI offices across Canada: Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver. The option of teleworking is available on a part-time basis in accordance with OSFI’s Guidelines on Telework. Teleworking arrangements are determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature of the work required by the position, the operational and business needs, as well as the candidate’s work preferences.

Supervision Central Office (SCO)
SCO provides operational and administrative support to all teams across the supervision sector. This includes providing human resource, planning, budgetary oversight and support, as well as providing regular reporting to management on these items.
Domestic Banking Group (DBG)
DBG is responsible for supervising a large portfolio of small and medium sized deposit taking institutions. DBG members are the primary interface between OSFI and these institutions and are responsible for monitoring their financial and operational strength.
Model Risk Team
This team is responsible for assessing the governance and oversight of models used by Federally Regulated Financial Institutions. This could include both regulatory capital models and those used for other risk management, enterprise functions and activities. Responsibilities include liaising with Supervision teams as well as providing advice on model risk governance to internal and external stakeholders.
Supervision Institute (SI)
SI provides supervisors and supporting experts with the supervision-specific knowledge, competencies, and tools they need to assess risk and intervene effectively and efficiently. The SI works with internal and external partners to establish learning and development opportunities and test innovative technological solutions to support supervision activities.
Reactive Monitoring & Onsite Group (RMOG)
RMOG is responsible for supervising federally regulated financial institutions (FRFIs) that are relatively small and not complex, primarily using data analytics tools and monitoring. Primary responsibilities include conducting financial monitoring, determining financial resilience ratings, conducting thematic reviews, and addressing elevated risk issues that may require deeper supervisory engagement.
Supervision Data and Analytical Insights (SD&AI)
SD&AI elevates analytics tools to enable insightful data-driven supervisory decision-making & assessments; develops and maintain tools to support risk assessments including capital and liquidity adequacy; and promotes data literacy and the effective use of supervisory information through analytic tools and training.
Horizontal Onsite Review Team (HORT)
HORT is responsible for conducting cross-sector thematic reviews for systemically important banks and the largest medium-size banks.
Crisis Readiness Unit (CRU)
CRU leads the development of prudential recovery and resolution expectations for federally regulated financial institutions, developing and maintaining internal crisis playbooks, assisting in crisis management, and advancing OSFI’s and Financial Institution Supervisory Committee (FISC) partners’ work on recovery and resolution planning.
Private Pension Plan Division (PPPD)
PPPD is responsible for supervising about 1,200 federally regulated private pension plans (FRPPP). They are the primary point of contact between OSFI and the pension plans and monitor and review plans so that they are funded and administered in compliance with pension laws and regulations so to protect members’ rights and benefits.
