The Sheep Unit Supervisor will be expected to oversee and participate in the management and production of the sheep research flock at the Lethbridge Research Centre. This Supervisor will communicate directly with science staff regarding sheep research trials, and will be required to communicate regularly with the Farm Manager and other Unit Supervisors, especially when unit/trial details require coordination with units beyond sheep barn staff. This position will supervise one staff member.

Possession of a valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license or other provincial/territorial equivalency.
Ability and willingness to work overtime including evenings and weekends.
Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding work activities including moderate to heavy manual labour requiring bending and lifting heavy objects (up to 30kg).
Ability and willingness to work extended periods outdoors, under harsh environmental conditions (dust, hot, cold, noise, and insects).
