Intent of the process

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff with identical or similar positions within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), various language requirements, various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Graduation from a recognized university with specialization in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Material Science or any other specialty related to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience
• Experience in leading projects to solve scientific challenges
• Experience in executing multi‐disciplinary experimental and numerical projects
• Experience in coordinating and monitoring progress toward project milestones
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting scientific data
• Experience in working in projects having multi‐phase heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid flow, and energy balance.

Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Ansys Fluent, DAQ System, Matlab, LabView, Inventor, SolidWork, JMP Pro, TIL Suit – Thermal Analysis
• Knowledge of Canadian mining companies and related innovation challenges

Abilities/Competencies:
• Ability to effectively adapt with sudden changes in schedules and deliver accordingly
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and writing
