Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill up to one (1) position on an indeterminate (permanent) basis in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec. This process may also be used to staff future vacancies with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, security requirements, and conditions of employment within the Department of National Defence.

Education:
A Secondary school diploma and successful completion of one of the following:
• A diploma in Environment, Occupational Health and Safety; certification in Occupational Hygiene or Canadian Armed Forces 6A Preventive Medicine Technician course with required combination of experience and training.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Experience in conducting occupational health and safety investigations and inspections.
Experience applying theories, principles and legislation related to environmental health and safety and industrial hygiene.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology especially the ears and the respiratory system.

Willing and able to work in conditions with potential exposures to heights when climbing ladders and scaffolds, as well as around toxic chemicals
