A qualified candidate may be offered the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications. Reporting to the Manager, Time Cost and Risk Management Services, the Scheduler will be responsible to work with a team of professionals, including the Project Managers, to assist them with their project scheduling work including the monthly meetings and status updates. Projects are ranging in size from Minor Capital to Major Crown Projects. A Senior Scheduler will be there to assist the new employee to learn Global Affairs Canada procedures.
Immediate need: One (1) position to be staffed on an indeterminate basis with an English essential linguistic profile. This process may be used to create a pool of qualified candidates as well as to fill identical or similar positions with various linguistic profile at the Department of Global Affairs Canada.

EDUCATION
Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Project Planning and Scheduling or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCES
Experience using MS Project software.
Significant* experience in scheduling and project planning services for projects ranging in size from Minor Capital to Major Crown Projects.
Significant* experience in providing scheduling and project planning advice to project teams.
Experience in scheduling and planning multiple concurrent projects and their respective project team.
* Significant experience is defined as a minimum of 5 years of experience
ASSEST QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCES
Experience in using Critical Path Methodology in scheduling/project planning.
Experience in scheduling / project planning of projects outside Canada.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to work overtime occasionally.
