The Information Management Program (IMP) is a dynamic team of professionals focused on improving the information management (IM) practices at AAFC and promoting modern and sustainable electronic document management stewardship.
As an IM Trainer, you will play a key part in helping AAFC’s knowledge workers understand how to manage their information more effectively, and how to use related IM tools. As an IM Trainer, you will have the opportunity to:
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Deliver training and provide coaching.
• Evaluate and improve existing training offerings.
• Develop new courses and new training approaches.
• Create documentation to support self-paced learning.
• Participate on IM projects to support AAFC’s IM Strategy.

EDUCATION:
• A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience designing and delivering instructor-led and/or self-paced training.
• Experience in designing and evaluating training materials and approaches to meet the goals of the training program and the needs of users.
• Experience in developing training courses using Microsoft PowerPoint or other course-authoring software (e.g.: Articulate, Captivate, etc.).
EDUCATION:
• Successful completion of a post-secondary educational program in a specialty relevant to the position to be staffed OR specialized certification or designation in a speciality relevant to the position (training certification, information management, M365, etc.)
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in development or delivery of training related to information management tools and processes (document management systems, SharePoint, Opentext Content server, records management, IM best practices, etc.)

ASSESSEMENT INFORMATION
You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
