POSITION LOCATION:

Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position requires physical presence at the designated work location, and as such, the successful candidate will be required to perform some in-office work at the Toronto business location. Duties

Audit Manager will provide risk-based, independent and objective assurance, advice and insight to OSFI by leading the annual development and execution of the overall audit portfolio, across OSFI’s sectors and including assessment of new and emerging risks such as cyber, climate, and digital currency risks. The Audit Manager will work closely with the business to provide ongoing advice and support on key OSFI initiatives, and the coordination of the delivery of value-added risk-based audit services.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
• A degree from a post-secondary institution with specialization in business, commerce, audit, accounting, finance or other relevant field OR an acceptable combination of relevant professional industry experience and education.
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.

Degree equivalency

• Recent and significant experience in planning, conducting, and reporting on assurance, internal audits, compliance, or advisory engagements of governance, business processes, risk management, corporate functions and control practices.
• Recent experience in developing and communicating audit deliverables such as engagement plans, risk assessments, audit reports and findings.

* Financial services industry experience is defined as experience working in one or more of the following areas: (a) financial institutions including banks, trust and loan companies, insurance companies and pension plans (b) firms dealing with audits or consulting engagements to such institutions (including reinsurance brokers) (c) technology and data companies providing services to financial institutions or linked to the delivery of financial services (d) government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions (e) Indigenous Institutions including: Band operations, trustees or administrators of pension plans, insurance institutions, lending institutions or other related areas providing financial services (f) other relevant areas, such as but not limited to, financial risk management, investment management, corporate treasury functions or commercial lending.
