HOW TO APPLY

You will be required to demonstrate how you meet the education and each of the experience criteria listed in the ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS and any of the applicable ASSET QUALIFICATIONS on the Statement of Merit Criteria for the initial screening by answering the online screening questions. Intent of the process

The intent of the process is to staff one position with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB in Dorval, Québec. A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff positions in Toronto, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta with various linguistic profiles (English Essential, Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB or Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC) in the future at Transport Canada.

Education
✈️ED: Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma/degree in aircraft maintenance or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to aircraft maintenance.

Degree equivalency

Occupational Certification
✈️OC: Valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Licence.

Experience
✈️EX1: Extensive* and recent** experience in the inspection, modification, repair of aeronautical products;
✈️EX2: Recent** experience in the development or application of quality assurance systems*** in a Canadian approved aviation maintenance organization.

*Extensive, the performance of complex activities in a wide variety of situations and has five (5) or more years of industry experience.
**Recent, experience acquired within the last 5 years.
***Quality assurance systems can include other equivalent aviation maintenance activities.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
✈️AEX1 : Extensive* experience working in an environment dealing with:
- Airline operations (CAR 705) with a national and international scope, OR;
- Large aircraft inspection, modification and repair, OR
-The supervision, management, certification or oversight of enterprises with a Safety Management System (SMS), OR;
- The supervision or management of quality assurance systems.

*Extensive = Candidate has performed complex activities in a wide variety of situations.
