The Information Management Program is a dynamic team of professionals focused on improving the information management (IM) practices at AAFC and promoting modern electronic document management stewardship.
As an IM Policy Analyst, you will play a key part in helping AAFC employees manage their information more effectively by applying Government of Canada policies and best practices. As an IM Policy Analyst, you will have the opportunity to:
• Conduct analysis and make recommendations for application of Government of Canada policies within AAFC.
• Develop guidance material based on IM activities and projects.
• Oversee and conduct editorial reviews of IM content prior to publication for quality and consistency.
• Monitor and report on deliverables of the IM Program.

EDUCATION:
• A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in analyzing and applying IM policies.
• Experience providing research, analysis and advice.
• Experience in developing guidelines, procedures, or best practices in digital information management.
EDUCATION:
• Successful completion of a post-secondary educational program in a specialty relevant to the position to be staffed OR specialized certification or designation in a specialty relevant to the position (for example, Library and Records Management, Information Science).
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in writing for the web, writing briefing material, or creating presentations.
• Experience working with SharePoint as a document management system.
KNOWLEGDE:
• Knowledge of the Government of Canada Policy on Service and Digital.

ASSESSEMENT INFORMATION
You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
