Duties

The Canadian Centre for Mapping and Earth Observation of Natural Resources Canada is looking for talented people to fill management positions. The positions are related to teams working in the field of fundamental data, applications and geospatial technologies. This covers, among other things, acquisition, management, creation of products as well as the dissemination of these in order to better support various programs such as open government, open science and flood hazard identification.

Intent of the process

► The immediate need is to staff 4 positions on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC

► A pool of candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada at the EN-SUR-04 group and level with various tenures (determinate period, indeterminate or acting), linguistic profile Bilingual imperative (CBC/CBC), various security requirements (i.e. Reliability, Secret, Top Secret), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in land survey theory and practice or other related field such as geomatics, geodetic sciences or remote sensing.

Note: The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EX1: Recent* experience in planning and managing the development and delivery of geomatics solutions.
EX2: Recent* experience in the acquisition, processing, dissemination and/or analysis of data related to geomatics.
EX3: Recent* experience in negotiating with multiple stakeholders to advance project objectives.

*Recent experience refers to experience generally acquired during 1 year within the last 3 years. The experience can be accumulated.

Education:
AED1: Graduation with degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or other specialty relevant to the position to be filled.

Experience:
