The intent of this process is to staff one (1) permanent position in Morinville Alberta.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to staff similar permanent and/or temporary vacancies.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

EDUCATION
• Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.1
1 Proof of education will be required prior to appointment.
EXPERIENCE
• Experience in receiving and responding to enquiries or complaints.
• Experience obtained within the last five years in the provision of administrative support services including two of the following: data entry, preparing correspondence, ordering office supplies, filing, and processing mail.
• Experience in using computer applications including two of the following: databases, email, spreadsheets, and word processing.
EDUCATION
• Successful completion of secondary school education.
EXPERIENCE
• Experience transcribing statements from audio cassettes or digital media.
• Experience working in a law enforcement environment.
• Experience working with Aboriginal communities.
• Training and/or experience in providing financial support services such as the collection and recording of monies received, handling petty cash funds, verifying supplier invoices, preparing invoices.
• Experience in maintaining a law enforcement database such as: Police Reporting Occurrence System (PROS) or Canadian Police Information (CPIC).

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Willing and able to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
• Willingness and ability to work shift work.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required.
• Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s licence or have personal mobility to the degree normally associated with a driver's licence.
