¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Q : How does an inventory work?
A : An inventory is a selection process that can be used by various hiring managers to meet their current and future needs. As a result, you will apply only once to be considered for multiple job opportunities at the IT-01 and/or IT-02 levels.

Q : Can I send my application to the email address provided on the job advertisement?
A : 𝗡𝗼, all applications must be submitted online through the Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS). Applications submitted by email will not be accepted or considered.

Q : What happens if I experience any technical issues with the GC Jobs website?
A : Should you experience any technical issues with the GC Jobs website, please contact 1-888-780-4444.

Q : My personal information has changed, what should I do?
A : Simply update them in the "Personal Information" section, in the "My Job File" menu of your account. This will allow us to have your current contact information and ensure adequate follow-up in the event that your application is considered as part of a process issued from this inventory.

Q : What happens if my application is expired?
A : Your application will be active for 60 days. A notice that your application is about to expire will be posted to the My jobs menu of your account seven (7) days before the end of this 60-day period. If you do not take action, your application will no longer be active and therefore no longer considered for this inventory. Should your application become inactive while the process is still open, a notice will be posted to your account indicating that your application has expired; you may select the link Update my Inventory Status to reaffirm your interest.

Q : Why was my application automatically rejected when I submitted it?
A : In order to be placed in the inventory, you must meet all of the essential qualifications pertaining to education and experience at the time you submit your application. If you receive a message "Application rejected at screening" immediately after submitting your application, you probably answered "No" to a screening question assessing any of these essential qualifications. If you have incorrectly indicated "No", simply retrieve your application and update your answer to the screening question.

Q : What does it mean to be “included in the inventory“?
A : Once your application has been successfully submitted to the inventory, your status may be: "Date of disclosure of results: Listed in the inventory". This automatically generated message by the system means that your application can be considered. You will be informed in the event that your application is considered as part of a process generated from this inventory.

𝗧𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘:
• All communications relating to this process, including email correspondence, may be used in the assessment of qualifications.
• Random selection may be used for volume management purposes to identify which applicants will be assessed in this selection process.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
