Intent of the process

This selection process will be used to staff positions within the Canadian Coast Guard in Prince Rupert, BC. A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff similar positions, on a temporary or permanent basis.

Information you must provide

Your résumé.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

• Current and valid Rope Access or Fall Arrest Certification (SPRAT or IRATA Level 1)

• Minimum 1 years’ experience working on guyed or self-supporting communication towers and other antenna supporting structures.

• Experience in the installation, removal, and maintenance of antennas and transmission line systems respective to land based communications infrastructure.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

• Valid Health Canada Medical
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
• Willing and able to climb towers and work at heights in excess of 2.4m.
• Willing and able to travel for up to 3 week periods of time to remote sites via; trucks, boats and aircraft.
• Willing and able to access remote sites over endroits isolés, pour des périodes pouvant aller jusqu’à trois semaines
• Être disposé et apte à se rendre dans des endroits isolés en empruntant des routes accidentées et à travailler à l'extérieur dans des conditions météorologiques extrêmes
