Intent of the process

The intent of this selection process is to staff one (1) position for four (4) years. This position benefits from a sunset funded program.

A pool of (fully or partially) qualified candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate, specified period employment, acting, deployment, assignment or secondment), with various linguistic requirements and for various bilingual linguistic profiles, various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.

Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in geology or chemistry.

Degree equivalency

Experience
EE1: Experience managing large scientific data sets.
EE2: Experience creating maps of geospatial scientific data.
EE3: Experience analyzing geospatial data.
EE4: Experience carrying out geochemical surveys.
EE5: Experience developing and maintaining relational database systems.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Education
Post-secondary courses in database theory, GIS, statistics.

Degree equivalency

Experience
AE1: Experience with geological fieldwork in different regions of Canada.
AE2: Experience interacting with geochemical laboratories.
AE3: Experience with scientific data analysis.
