Duties

Duties for the Materiel Acquisition and Support Specialist include (but are not limited to):
↪ Leading a small team;
↪ Providing analysis and advice in support of complex material and life-cycle management activities;
↪ and designing and implementing procurement and/or materiel management solutions in support of resource planning and management activities.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill one (1) bilingual imperative (BBB/BBB) indeterminate position on a hybrid basis in Gatineau, QC. This position is located at 455 Boulevard de la Carrière, Gatineau, QC.

A pool of candidates may be established to staff the same or similar positions with various employment tenures, security requirements, and conditions of employment.

EDUCATION
ED1. A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
EX1. Experience developing or analyzing supply chain related policies, directives, and procedures.

EX2. Experience in the design and creation of data analytic and performance measurement using advanced features of Microsoft Suite (such as formulas, pivot tables, searches and formatting).

EX3. Experience managing supply chain processes to support of the acquisition of goods and services.

EX4. Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System such as SAP.

ASSET EDUCATION
AED1. Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or another specialty relevant to the position.

AEX1. Experience in providing procurement, or supply chain related training.

AEX2. Experience in supply chain activities including requirements planning, data entry or management of asset information.

AEX3. Experience in providing strategic recommendation and advice to senior managers (Director) on supply chain management.

AEX4. Experience working or volunteering in a mixed military/civilian environment.

AEX5. Experience in supervision.
