Update: Amended (Definition Experience): **Extensive is defined as the complexity and diversity of work which would normally be acquired over a period of approximately 8 years where the candidate progressively performed the role of an engineer on a construction project with at least the last 5 years as a project manager, managing all aspects and stages of project delivery including project design, tendering, construction and closeout. Complexity is viewed in terms of risk. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Canada
1. Recent* and extensive** experience in the procurement and management of design consultant and all construction services.
2. Recent* and extensive** experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of high value*** and complex construction projects.

*Recent is defined as approximately the past 6 years from the closing date of this job advertisement.
**Extensive is defined as the complexity and diversity of work which would normally be acquired over a period of approximately 8 years where the candidate progressively performed the role of an engineer on a construction project with at least the last 5 years as a project manager, managing all aspects and stages of project delivery including project design, tendering, construction and closeout. ***High Value is not the overall budget of a program, but more specifically the value of a single project or set of inter-related projects that were particularly managed by the candidate and valued at $10 M or more.
Experience in marine construction, including dredging, shoreline improvements, construction of canal walls and water management structures.
Experience in the management of human resources and performance management frameworks.
